for e-commerce & D2C brands —

Google Ads for e-commerce, measured on profit, not clicks.

Online stores don’t need more traffic, they need profitable orders. I run Google Ads for e-commerce (Shopping and Performance Max) and Meta Ads for D2C brands on Shopify and WooCommerce, with tracking set up properly, so every rupee is judged on revenue and margin.

I’ve run ads for home décor, activewear and handmade-product brands.

Cheap clicks aren’t the goal. Orders with margin are.

What shoppers search, and what clicks cost.

real Google data, India

Product clicks in India are cheap: “home decor online” and “activewear for women” cost about ₹1 to ₹20 at the top of the page. The challenge isn’t the cost per click. It’s turning cheap clicks into orders that still make money after ads, shipping and returns.

So I start with numbers, not campaigns: average order value, margin and the cost per order you can afford. From there, Shopping and Performance Max go after buyers with intent, and Meta builds demand for products people don’t search for yet.

Where Facebook and Instagram ads fit.

Facebook ads for e-commerce do what search can’t: show products to people who didn’t know they wanted them. I run catalogue and Advantage+ sales campaigns, test new creative angles every month, and retarget visitors and cart abandoners with the products they looked at.

Meta Ads management

  • Catalogue ads synced with your store
  • Advantage+ sales campaigns with fresh creatives
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API for accurate purchase data
  • UGC and founder videos tested against studio shots

Traps that drain e-commerce budgets.

check these first

  • Merchant Center suspensionsGoogle suspends stores with missing contact details, unclear returns or prices that don’t match the site. Fix the basics before spending.
  • ROAS without marginA 3× ROAS can still lose money on low-margin products once shipping and returns are counted.
  • Letting Performance Max eat your brandWithout exclusions, PMax often takes credit for people who were going to buy anyway.
  • Double-counted purchasesBroken tracking makes campaigns look better than they are. I check purchase counts against your store every month.

What your landing page needs.

where clicks become enquiries

  • Product pages with clear price, delivery time and returns
  • Fast mobile pages, under 3 seconds
  • COD and UPI options if your customers expect them
  • Reviews and real product photos
  • Contact details and policies Google can find
  • A checkout without forced sign-up

Questions store owners ask me.

Do Google Ads work for e-commerce in India?

Yes, especially Google Shopping and Performance Max for products people search for. Clicks are cheap; profit depends on your average order value, margin and conversion rate, so I set targets from those numbers.

Shopping ads or Performance Max?

Often both. Standard Shopping gives control and clean data for best-sellers, while Performance Max can find extra sales across YouTube, Display and Gmail once tracking is solid.

Are Facebook ads good for Shopify stores?

Yes. Meta is often the main growth channel for D2C brands because it creates demand. Catalogue ads, Advantage+ sales campaigns and regular creative testing do most of the work.

What ROAS should I target?

It depends on your margin. If your margin after product cost and shipping is 40%, you need roughly 2.5× ROAS just to break even on ads. I calculate your break-even ROAS before setting targets.

Can you fix my Merchant Center suspension?

Often, yes. Most suspensions come from missing policies, missing contact details, price mismatches or feed errors. I check the cause in the audit.
